Horizon Europe Guarantee extended to end of September 2023

After the UK Government announced an extension to the support provided to UK Horizon Europe applicants until the end of September 2023, Douglas Dowell, Policy Manager at the Russell Group, said:

"Extending the Horizon Guarantee to the end of September provides welcome clarity to UK R&D. This should reassure UK-based researchers and innovators that their funding is protected and we would encourage them to continue to apply for grants.

"Crucially, it allows the UK and EU to continue negotiations over UK association to the world’s largest multilateral research programme. We hope to see a positive solution as soon as possible that will unlock the enormous benefits of association to scientists and researchers on both sides of the Channel."
