Universities will always prioritise the student experience

09 June 2022

On Thursday (9 July), the Higher Education Policy Institute and Advance HE published its annual Student Academic Experience Survey. The publication surveyed 10,000 full-time undergraduate students from across the UK.

Responding to the survey's findings a Russell Group spokesperson said:

“Universities will always prioritise the best possible experience for their students. It is pleasing to see students’ perception of their courses and value for money bouncing back after the extraordinary circumstances of the pandemic with students back on campus and in-person teaching resumed. For more than a decade, digital tools have been used successfully to enhance teaching and learning and universities will continue to use evidence of what is most effective and invest in new technologies to provide high-quality education.

“HEPI’s survey also found areas where further work is needed including help for students on mental health, wellbeing and financial support. Our members are constantly reviewing the support and help they provide to students. For example, we are working with other universities, Government and the NHS to tackle student mental health and will continue to do so.”
