Russell Group comment on university policies on donations

Regarding university policies on gifts and donations, a Russell Group spokesperson said:

“Philanthropic donations play a vital role in supporting the efforts of leading universities around the world to solve the key socio-economic and technological challenges that face us today.

“Individual universities set their own policies on gifts and donations. As charities, all universities in the UK must comply with the relevant requirements on the prevention of bribery and corruption and will have robust anti-bribery policies in place regarding donations, based on the Bribery Act 2010.”
