Evidence and Impact Exchange

03 July 2018

We support the Government’s intention to create a new Evidence and Impact Exchange to support universities to identify and disseminate effective practice in widening access and participation to higher education.

There is no one-size-fits-all solution as institutions and their local communities are very different. The Exchange should provide a platform for widening participation practitioners to share results and further develop their understanding of work with students from under-represented groups. It should draw on and collate existing evidence as well as identifying and addressing gaps in the evidence base, for example, on what works in raising attainment in schools.
