As the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology publishes a new position paper on Framework Programme 10, the Russell Group has responded to the UK’s engagement with the Horizon successor.

Douglas Dowell, Policy Manager at the Russell Group, commented:

“Our participation in Horizon Europe, the world's biggest programme for international research and innovation, is an ongoing win-win for the UK and the EU, and we are pleased to see UK government engagement with the shape of its successor, FP10. The government's emphasis on the role of excellence and fundamental research – genuine areas of UK strength within EU programmes – is particularly welcome.

“Association to FP10 would offer a long-term, stable basis to work with EU and associated partners on some of the biggest challenges we face. It will also mean we can maximise gains from the networks and collaborations being forged in Horizon Europe”.
