2020 UCAS undergraduate figures show rise in offer holders

25 June 2020

In response to the latest UCAS figures for the 2020 undergraduate cycle, following the June 18 deadline for most applicants to make a decision on offers, Dr. Tim Bradshaw, Chief Executive of the Russell Group, said:

“Today’s figures show students remain confident about the value of the skills and knowledge provided by a high-quality university education, which will be crucial to our recovery at a national and individual level.

“It also underlines the importance of protecting that experience and the UK's world-class reputation for research as talent and innovative ideas will be more important than ever for our future economy and society.

“While it remains an uncertain time for people making decisions about university this autumn and restrictions on international travel are likely to continue, our members are working hard to provide the best possible experience for every student. Quality and safety are the focus, with our universities taking a blended approach to learning and looking at ways to ensure small group learning and lab work on campus can be delivered effectively and safely.”
