Dr Arnab Basu is founding CEO of Kromek Group plc, a Durham University spinout formed in 2003. Kromek is now a global leader in advanced radiation detection technology, serving defence & security agencies and medical imaging OEMs worldwide. 

Headquartered in County Durham with manufacturing in both the UK and USA, the company offers world-leading technologies in medical imaging, nuclear security, and defence. Originally from India, Dr Basu completed his PhD in Physics at Durham University and has since played a key role in translating academic research into globally impactful commercial technologies.
