Here We Flo: developing sustainable personal care products
Tara Chandra is a US graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science who co-founded Here We Flo, a brand dedicated to providing organic, sustainable personal care products, after completing her MSc in Executive Global Management.
The business was conceived during a candid conversation with classmates about the lack of accessible organic tampons in the UK. The launch of Here We Flo was supported by insights gathered in extensive consumer research Tara carried out while producing her dissertation, which validated the market need for such products.

Launching in 2017, Here We Flo quickly gained traction, starting with a successful Kickstarter campaign and securing shelf space in major retailers like Boots and Whole Foods. The brand's commitment to sustainability and social impact resonated with consumers, leading to rapid growth and expansion into international markets, including the United States.
Here We Flo pledge 5 per cent of all profits to charities that support people and the planet in addition to monthly donations of period products to menstrual charities. In 2021 Here We Flo were the grand prix winners of £1 million in ad spend from the Sky Zero Footprint fund – a £2 million advertising initiative fund which supports and inspires others to join the journey to Net Zero Carbon.
