Commenting on the Parliamentary and Scientific Committee report on Science Priorities for Brexit Dr Tim Bradshaw, Acting-Director of the Russell Group, said:

“Our leading universities are international institutions. One of the reasons our research base is so strong is the close working ties we have built across Europe. Horizon 2020, the European Research Council and other programmes have been good for UK science and the EU.

“European funding is supporting UK research and EU researchers are helping train the next generation of scientists and innovators. Ensuring this collaboration continues after Brexit is vital. Delivering on the priorities outlined in this statement will help ensure the UK remains at the cutting edge of science and research.”
